“The friends of William and Catherine point out, they seem to have gone to great lengths to find the one unflattering image of Catherine for this trailer. “You see Meghan with her head in her hands and distraught and then it pans immediately to a stony-faced stern image of Catherine at Westminster Abbey at that Commonwealth Day service in 2019. “The use of William and Catherine and the image and the way it’s presented, my goodness. “I was appalled when I watched this trailer, frankly, it’s everything we feared,” royal expert Richard Eden told Mail+. It's since been reported that friends of Prince William and Catherine are “sickened” by the image of chosen of the Princess of Wales in the trailer. It's been described by royal watchers online as "unflattering" and "manipulative". The use of the harsh Catherine image gives viewers a huge hint that the documentary will have plenty of bombshells and certainly add to the tension between the once close brothers with some even describing it as a “ declaration of war”. "It’s everything we feared"Īccording to Netflix, the series "explores the clandestine days of their early courtship and the challenges that led to them feeling forced to step back from their full-time roles in the institution". Starring Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Miku Martineau, and Woody Harrelson. One image of Catherine and William is shown in the trailer, and it's of a stoney-looking Princess of Wales. But that doesn’t mean adult genre fans can’t have a good time – just don’t try any of this at home. Apart from the gore, there’s one very brief sex scene and a healthy smattering of profanity. There’s also the usual deluge of shootings and stabbings, moreso here because of the apparent tendency of Japanese gangsters to carry large knives. It just frees you up to enjoy the high-speed action choreography. But since we all know the protagonist is going to be dead by the end of the movie anyway, that doesn’t matter as much as usual. If I’m here for big dumb action fun, directors really don’t need to spend all that much time explaining character backstories to me. This is one of those fun action flicks that focuses so little on the trees, you don’t have a choice but to enjoy the forest. The clock is ticking…Īs a certifiable film snob, I do sometimes get caught up in the minutiae of a film – an inability to see the forest for the trees.
